The museum quarter courtyard during December featured a charming Christmas market, offering a modern twist primarily focused on food and drink. It wasn’t overly crowded, which was a relief compared to the bustling Christmas markets nearby, and it provided a lovely spot to relax with some mulled wine.

The abundance of art and culture in one location is truly astonishing. There’s something for everyone, regardless of age. It's magnificent to see what well-allocated funding for the arts and culture can achieve.

The site is accessible around the clock and entry is completely free; there are no gates or barriers. The permanent exhibition 'Vienna. My History' at the Wien Museum is free to visit without a ticket, although be aware there may be waiting times if it’s busy. On the first Sunday of each month, free entry is available for both permanent and special exhibitions at all locations.

There are numerous museums in this quarter, and you would need a week to explore them all fully. It’s best to select carefully and prioritize the ones that really pique your interest. We chose the Leopold Museum and the Fine Arts Museum, and we were thoroughly pleased with our decision.

This place was such a delightful surprise. While staying at the Sans Souci hotel, we took a stroll around and decided to enter one of the entrances. It turns out this complex used to serve as the Habsburgs' stables, which is indicated by the horse heads above each entrance. Nowadays, it hosts several museums. One of them, however, is quite unattractive, a large, lumpy grey block that stands out awkwardly. While I appreciate Modern Art, not every concept deserves to be accepted.
