I had a wonderful experience at Belvedere Palace. The stunning architecture immediately captured my attention, and the gardens are ideal for a leisurely stroll. Once inside, I was awestruck by the art collection, particularly the Klimt pieces—I couldn’t help but admire ‘The Kiss.’ The layout was easy to navigate, making my visit even more enjoyable. The ticketing process was smooth, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Overall, it felt like a meticulously planned visit, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who appreciates art and history.
A perfect cultural outing on Saturday. This is the ideal location to pause and appreciate beauty in art. I enjoyed seeing a vast array of artworks from different historical periods; it truly feels like walking through art history. The palace itself is breathtaking, with intricate details and carvings. Highly recommended. A must-visit in Vienna.
One of the essential sites to see in Vienna. A unique palace housing some of the rarest artwork by various European artists. Belvedere Palace is a place you should spend a few hours at to fully appreciate. We were fortunate to visit during the week without any long waits, but I advise purchasing your tickets online. Enjoy your visit!
The palace has been beautifully restored as an art museum. If you are hoping to see what this palace was like in ancient times, you might be disappointed. The complex is quite expansive, especially the gardens.
Our initial impression wasn’t great, but things improved as we explored. We had bought the Vienna Pass, which granted us free entry.
Upon arrival, we encountered a large queue, stretching almost to the street, with two separate lines: one for ticket holders and another for Vienna Pass holders. The entire façade was undergoing renovations, covered in tarps and scaffolding, with various liquids dripping down. :D The gardens, which were labeled as such, looked poorly maintained – more like a small patch of grass than gardens.
After about 1.5 hours of waiting, we were finally admitted, and things turned around. The art collection is simply breathtaking—you could gaze at it for hours without feeling satisfied. We explored both floors twice and didn’t want to leave.
