Great collection at the Museum of Modern Art for just 500 yen admission. Additional fees apply for special exhibitions based on your interest. The standard collection is intriguing, though I've seen more exciting museums.

I had a fantastic experience here. I visited the general exhibition for 500 yen and spent a few hours exploring it. Amazing value! I even got to see pieces from Picasso and Pollock.

We only visited the permanent collection (¥500 for adults, ¥0 for those 70 and over) and I was quite impressed with the display. The insightful information on level 4 added to each artwork (see pictures) was a highlight. It's a pity this wasn't applied to the other floors.

If you aren't particularly interested in the photographic work of Nakahira Takuma (Special Exhibition), you might be better off saving your money (1500¥) and attending the General Exhibition instead. It's cheaper, larger (spanning three floors), and showcases a wide range of both Japanese art and artists. Many of the black and white photos in the Special Exhibition lacked clarity as if they had been photocopied multiple times.
