Visiting Meiji Jingu Shrine in Tokyo is a fantastic experience and absolutely a must-see. The shrine is stunningly beautiful and going early in the morning to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere without too many visitors is well worth it.
I walked from Shibuya Station to Meiji Shrine, which was a fantastic journey revealing a hidden part of Shibuya along the way. The shrine is enormous, so I suggest dedicating at least half a day for a peaceful exploration. Visiting in the evening feels especially magical as you can sense the echoes of the ancient trees.
What a lovely place to enjoy nature and relax. Strolling around this temple was a delightful way to take a break from the city. The grounds are beautifully maintained! We were fortunate to witness a formal ceremony during our visit in September 2024.

A vast shrine complex located in a lovely park. It’s a moderate walk from various stations, and although it can be crowded, the atmosphere is surprisingly tranquil. If you’re interested in charms or amulets, there’s a shop that offers a nice selection, and the wait is reasonable allowing you to learn about each charm's significance. Definitely worth a visit!
