During my short visit, I saw a temporary exhibition dedicated to German expressionism and the artist group Brucke. The organization and richness of the exhibition were very impressive. Overall, it looks like a good place for tourists interested in modern art (they constantly change their displays of artists’ works) and local families. Worth a long visit of 2 hours or more to explore all rooms. Cost 150Kr.

A gorgeous modern art museum in a wonderful city, worth visiting for the culture, food, and people. The modern building is slightly away from downtown, easy to access and without excessive lines. There’s plenty of contemporary art that I love, including Braque, Kirchner, Bacon, as well as some of the lesser-known yet equally important artists like Tatlin and Kukryniksy. The museum is spacious and a pleasure to walk around. Do come here if you get a chance.

I really like this place by the way. My daughter and I visited a couple of times, enjoying the museum, shop, and café. Coffee, cookies, and bagels were a bit expensive but acceptable. The shop was the best part; there were a lot of interesting items available.

Nice museum with a lot of different exhibitions. Sometimes abstract, but not too difficult to grasp. I would recommend this place for families; kids have free admission.

Interesting collection of exhibitions. My personal favorites were Vaginal Davis’ 'Magnificent Product' and Pink Sails’ 'Swedish Modernism'. Lovely location as well; it was nice to catch glimpses of the surroundings through the windows.
