Drottningholm Palace is an exquisite place filled with rich history! Although there's an entry fee to visit the inside, the gardens and outer areas are free. I highly recommend paying the entrance fee as the interior showcases stunning artworks and elegant furniture. Unfortunately, the Chinese palace was closed during my visit, open only from May to September.

One of my favorite spots in Stockholm! It's easily accessible via public transport. The palace boasts lovely views from both the front and back. The large garden at the rear features beautiful fountains and offers plenty of space for a full day's visit. I recommend going in the autumn for a spectacular view of the colorful foliage.

Drottningholm Palace is truly a sight to behold, built to amaze. Its stunning design, well-maintained gardens, and symmetrical layout, complete with numerous fountains are impressive. It's a perfect location for leisurely strolls and even family picnics, with plenty of spots to relax. Public transport is reliable nearby, making it easy to reach from Stockholm Central.

The current royal residence offers a fascinating and informative hour-long guided tour. Much of the palace is off-limits to the public, but the areas accessible are definitely worthwhile. The surrounding park is also a lovely addition to the experience.

Tip 💡: If you're planning to visit on the weekend, arrive before 11 am for a more peaceful experience, as it gets busy once tours start. Tip 2 💡: A free audio guide app is available for download in the Apple Store or Google Play, as not all rooms have descriptions.
