This park is rich in history. It's enjoyable to stroll beneath the trees and immerse yourself in nature and the beautiful flowers. Take in the views of modern attractions like the Merlion and Sky Bridge, but don't forget to admire the historic Parliament and government buildings as well. There are also significant landmarks to explore! Crossing Anderson Bridge and returning via Cavenagh Bridge is a delightful experience. It’s very clean too!

The best time to enjoy the park is during the evening around dusk. You can take the MRT to Raffles Place MRT Station. After exiting at M, turn right and walk towards Battery Road, cross the road to walk towards Fullerton Hotel. Cross Cavenagh Bridge and take time to explore the park.

9/10 I was fortunate to visit the park on my way to Merlion Park on a Sunday. It was buzzing with Singapore's youth, surprisingly without children around. Hundreds were relaxing, eating, laughing, and enjoying their weekend until the workweek returns. I was amazed by the cleanliness, as the park was full yet there was no litter, highlighting the community's respect for the law. Singapore is impressively clean, even the roads look pristine!

Esplanade Park is the oldest park in Singapore. It features numerous historical monuments, including Queen Elizabeth Walk, Cenotaph, Lim Bo Seng Memorial, and the Former Indian National Army Monument site, along with the Tan Kim Seng Fountain currently under restoration. Recently, it has become a popular gathering spot for Burmese foreign workers and expatriates on Sundays.

Constructed in 1943 and redeveloped in 1991, Esplanade Park ranks among the oldest heritage parks in Singapore. It showcases many historical landmarks and is now surrounded by new developments that signify modern and thriving Singapore. It’s a great spot for a morning run and evening walks to appreciate the beauty of modern Singapore.
