I took my parents to revisit their childhood memories, and the exhibits felt incredibly authentic. They truly captured the spirit of old Chinatown, and it was wonderful watching my parents reminisce. The waiting area was somewhat warm, and the organization could have been better, leading to several visitors being turned away due to lack of awareness about pre-booking for the soft opening. Improved communication would have been beneficial. Overall, it was a meaningful experience, especially for those who treasure heritage and nostalgia.

Initially skeptical due to the empty lobby despite the bustling streets, I took a chance to explore local history and was glad I did. The center brilliantly illustrates the history of Chinese immigrants and their struggles in establishing their lives in Singapore alongside other minorities. A must-visit for anyone interested in the local culture and history.

The facility was nice. I experienced some technical challenges checking in a large group during the soft opening. After sorting that out, we faced a brief wait due to capacity issues. Other than these minor logistical problems, the exhibit was intriguing and provided a pleasant break from the heat and touristy spots.

This was a captivating and meaningful visit. I brought my mother to revisit her childhood and my child to learn about the past. It was fascinating to hear stories from his grandparents. The experience is divided into two parts across three levels, and while restrooms are available on all floors, they're located only on one side of the second journey part. Locals enjoyed free entry during the soft opening, which wrapped up on February 16. It's wise to buy tickets in advance.

I heard from my mother about the soft opening promotion for locals and tourists. It was free for locals from January 24 to February 16, 2025. It’s recommended to book tickets online, although walk-ins might be possible depending on availability. The center is air-conditioned and consists of three interesting levels, showcasing real-life displays that reveal the lifestyle from early Singapore. My mother was thrilled as she shared her stories while I explored the exhibition.
