Xintiandi is located in the heart of Shanghai, south of Huaihai Zhong Lu. It is a chic pedestrian street featuring Shikumen houses and contemporary building designs. This area has transformed into a major urban attraction that beautifully merges historical elements with modern culture. It is a large-scale, city-core redevelopment initiative that encompasses residential, office, retail, entertainment, and cultural spaces. This prominent development combines early 20th-century Shikumen architecture with modern urban lifestyle, fashion elements, and contemporary features that allow visitors to experience a vibrant mix of culture, entertainment, and dining. Additionally, high-end shopping centers and renowned global flagship stores are also present. When we visited on a Sunday, the place was packed with shoppers and diners everywhere.

This mall is really big. They have a Looknow Lab that sells Jellycat toys.

This area is now referred to as "Xintiandi Style II" to distinguish it from Phase 1 which is located across the street. The mall is new but there were very few customers; most shops were quiet. I found an ice cream shop quite interesting, but the staff were too preoccupied with their phones. Like all the other shops, the staff seemed idle and not actively managing the store. I was quite disappointed.

A nice mall in the area. It features two buildings, Xintiandi 1 and 2, connected by a bridge. However, there isn’t much to shop for in this area.
