The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a groundbreaking cultural hub in Seoul, opened in 2014. Designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, this intricate complex draws inspiration from the natural curves of the Korean landscape, making it a fluid and harmonious blend of art and functionality. Spanning an impressive area of 86,574m², the DDP comprises 15 interconnected buildings that host diverse venues including the Art Hall, Design Museum, and Design Lab. The structure features 3 underground levels and 4 above ground, showcasing the world's largest 3D amorphous design, adorned with over 5,000 uniquely shaped aluminum panels that create a futuristic aesthetic. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant rooftop park, delightful restaurants, and historic remnants of the ancient Seoul fortress, all while immersing themselves in the dynamic cultural scene through various exhibitions and events.
