This place is one of my guilty pleasures. Their chocolate and ice cream are incredibly delicious, making it a must-visit for anyone craving something sweet. The flavors are rich and indulgent, and the quality is always top-notch. One of the highlights of visiting is the stunning view of the Bay. On a sunny day, enjoying a decadent sundae while overlooking the sparkling water is truly unbeatable. However, the service can be slow, often requiring a long wait to be seated or served, especially during busy hours. Nevertheless, the gorgeous views and iconic Ghirardelli treats usually make the wait worthwhile. If you’re not in a rush and wish to enjoy a delightful dessert with a beautiful Bay view, this spot is absolutely worth visiting!

You can order Hot Fudge Sundaes in several varieties and pick up chocolates. There is a wide selection of chocolates to choose from, and you can customize your bag. The sundaes are pricier if you choose to sit inside, and seating is limited. For a better deal, consider taking it to-go. There’s plenty to see at the Square while walking around. We visited on December 30, 2024, during the holiday season, and it was quite crowded with a long line to enter the building.

The facility was clean and bright, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although it was busy, it didn’t feel overly crowded. They offered an extensive selection of chocolates. I bought a variety of squares by the pound and also tried one of their sundaes, which was fantastic. The area can be challenging to access in a wheelchair due to the hills and levels, but once inside, it’s completely accessible.

The sundaes were decent. My partner loved his, and I appreciated the availability of dairy-free options, but the hot fudge was quite hard and difficult to manage. At $18 per sundae, I expected better. On the positive side, the place was very clean, and the staff was courteous and attentive.

This is a very popular tourist attraction! Especially if you have a sweet tooth, you can find all kinds of sweet treats here, including chocolate drinks, ice cream, and various chocolate flavors. We visited in the afternoon, and there were a lot of people around.
