Ipanema Beach offers an unforgettable experience. Every moment there was enjoyable. I will absolutely visit again on my next trip. The beach is unexpectedly clean and not too crowded, regardless of whether it's cloudy or sunny. The locals were friendly and polite. Although some mention safety concerns, I personally did not encounter any issues. I highly recommend visiting while in Rio, especially to enjoy the stunning sunsets.

This beach is absolutely beautiful! Having visited many beaches across several countries, I can say this one is among the most remarkable. The views are breathtaking, and the sand is incredibly soft, with no hard rocks or pebbles to be found anywhere along the shore. I found the beach to be well-maintained and clean. There are numerous vendors available that sell a variety of items, including chairs and umbrellas for about $10 USD or around 45 R$. They also serve drinks right on the beach.

We visited several times during our 8 days in Rio, preferring the mornings as it was easy to find a relaxing spot near the sea. The water was quite cold, and by the time we departed each morning, the beach became crowded. It was peak season, however. In the late afternoon, we set our towels on the promenade side of the beach for a short stay. Be sure to check the prices for chairs and parasols; although they are reasonable, we felt overcharged on our second visit. The beach atmosphere was quite lively and definitely busy, making it a bit overwhelming while trying to keep an eye on our belongings. A young, party vibe filled the beach during our visit, particularly around New Year's.

Despite less than ideal weather, you can still enjoy some futvolley at the beach. And of course, it was delightful to see the dogs having fun!
