This place is breathtaking! It was very cold inside (we visited in February) and it felt colder than outside, but the grandeur is overwhelming. The stained glass windows are amazing; there are many of them, but I couldn't upload them all for you to enjoy. You can hire a tour guide for historical insights or explore on your own, which we opted for. They are currently doing restoration work inside, so some scaffolding is present, but it doesn’t diminish the experience of being in such a magnificent space. Don't forget to buy a combo ticket from the information center close to the entrance; it grants access to the cathedral, castle, church, and the little village. It’s absolutely worth it. Plan for about 4 hours to see everything. Early morning or lunchtime is best, as the last entry is around 4 PM.

The interior is equally stunning, particularly the stained glass windows, which are among the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The tombs of Bohemian kings and saints enhance the historical aura of the place. A ticket is necessary for entry, and it’s only valid for a single use.

Incredible, with so much gold! Just go! However, even though we had pre-booked a tour, we needed to check in at the ticket office, and the queue was massive! We arrived with only twenty-five minutes to spare and barely made it in time for our slot. It was well worth it, though; our up-close tour led us to the crypt beneath the cathedral. Aim to go as early as possible, and check if there are fast-track tickets available, as the crowds can be overwhelming—even in February!

As a Canadian visiting Prague, I was thoroughly amazed by the beauty of St. Vitus Cathedral. Its towering Gothic architecture and intricate details are stunning, even for someone well-acquainted with historical landmarks. The atmosphere inside is serene and awe-inspiring, filled with magical light from the stunning stained glass windows. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout make it clear why this cathedral is such a popular attraction for both tourists and locals. The grand interior, from the high ceilings to the ornate altars, creates a time-traveling experience. I especially appreciated the peacefulness it offered in the midst of the bustling city. However, it was a bit crowded, which made it challenging to fully appreciate the beauty without being bumped around. Be aware that the entry fee for certain sections might feel a little steep for budget travelers. Despite these minor issues, my visit was memorable, and I would highly recommend St. Vitus Cathedral to anyone traveling to Prague—it’s a must-see that beautifully combines history and charm.
