The recently restored Notre-Dame Cathedral presents a tranquil yet luminous environment that significantly highlights its grand charm. The rose stained glass is truly a masterpiece — the intricate details and vivid colors are stunning. I greatly value the fact that there are no entrance fees, even for tourists, which ensures it is open to all. Though the queues can be lengthy, it is advisable to book a time for entry. As it is still an active church, we were lucky to witness a mass service during our visit, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere. Please note that there are currently no tour guides available inside the church, so it’s recommended to come well-informed if you wish to know historical details. Definitely a must-see for both its beauty and cultural importance!

I wasn't able to reserve an entry time beforehand until arriving in the country, but I am grateful we managed to secure one as it was a very busy attraction during the holiday season. The walls and ceilings appear brighter than during my last visit. It's amazing how much has survived through centuries and calamities that is made available for the public to appreciate here. A bit of prior child-friendly research into the art and historical significance of architectural features, details, and objects kept my child enthusiastically engaged throughout our visit. We had a brief, pleasant chat with the priest who was greeting the gathering as he awaited the scheduled service to start.

This grand monument leaves you feeling small. It is exemplary in its dimensions. The interior design is calming and filled with artistic creations. The Virgin Mary is visible from the forecourt, and her presence is essential. The rose window appears as colorful magic. You do not need to be religious to feel the awe of the interior and be inspired by its resilience.

The completed restoration work is outstanding and beautiful. There is still much to be done outside, but the entrance path is clear and the large open courtyard in front is pleasant. The lengthy line moves quickly, and online reservations are free. A slight scent of smoke upon entering adds to the sensory experience. I visited in the 1980s, and it is significantly more beautiful now.

Five years have passed since this historic building was set on fire. Years of dedicated artisans, have skillfully restored it! The outcome is astonishing! A truly delightful visit! We were lucky enough to attend during a mass, which allowed us to hear the magnificent organ and the ringing of the bell tower!! An unforgettable experience!
