My experience at the United Nations was truly remarkable. Attending the inauguration of the first "World Meditation Day" in 2024 was a highlight of my year. The event included an inspiring keynote address and guided meditation led by Gurudev, along with messages from diplomats around the world. It was a memorable occasion characterized by a serene atmosphere and the significance of a global day of meditation. Please note, the security checks were quite thorough and took some time. The building itself is adorned with beautiful artwork and meaningful exhibits that illustrate the history and objectives of the UN.

Visiting the United Nations Headquarters in New York is an exceptional experience, especially for those interested in global diplomacy and affairs. I highly recommend taking a guided tour, as it offers an informative overview of the UN's history, mission, and current operations. Walking through the iconic General Assembly Hall and Security Council Chamber, where crucial discussions occur, is fascinating. During my visit, I was thrilled to observe live sessions in progress, providing insight into the UN's impact on global challenges. The tour enhances understanding of international relations and the UN's dedication to promoting peace, human rights, and sustainable development. The architecture of the building is impressive, featuring modern design and stunning views of the East River.
Public tours of the United Nations Headquarters are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:45 PM and are closed on weekends and public holidays. Ticket prices are $22 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $13 for children (ages 5-18). It is advisable to book tickets in advance through the UN's official website to secure your spot. Overall, it's an essential visit for anyone in New York, and the guided tour is a truly enriching experience.

Make sure to book online and fill everything out beforehand, and don't forget your valid ID (not expired). The security check begins across the street, and the staff there are friendly and efficient. I recommend taking the tour. After going through security, you might notice the staff on their phones. They will ask you to sit while waiting for your tour to be called, but instead, go stand by the Tour Desk. Once on the tour, you will definitely enjoy it.
A great spot to visit, especially if you find yourself in NYC. Just remember to book your visit and check everything in advance.
A must-see for everyone visiting. Don’t forget to bring your passport or ID to gain entry. You will receive a badge for free entry at the entrance opposite the main entrance.
