The fusion of Indian and British architectural styles creates a visual delight. An interesting tidbit is that this station is one of the busiest in India, with millions traversing daily. The exterior carvings featuring lions and peacocks are breathtaking. The night view, illuminated by lights, is enchanting. However, crowd management during peak hours could improve, as navigating can become overwhelming. Nevertheless, the charm and grandeur make it a must-visit.
This railway station is stunning and elegant—truly one of a kind. It is exceptionally well-maintained, vast, and genuinely beautiful. During my visit, I noticed renovation work was in progress. Despite the station's bustling nature, I felt quite comfortable, likely due to the spacious ceiling fans that kept the area cool and pleasant.
CSMT, or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai, is one of the oldest railway stations in India and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It features a vast expanse with around 18-20 platforms. There are distinct areas for local and express trains. The restrooms are exceptionally clean and well-kept. Architecturally, CSMT is a historical landmark. At night, the illuminated walls present a fantastic sight.

I had the opportunity to visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station in Mumbai and was thoroughly impressed. The signage made it easy to navigate the station. Cleanliness was a strong point, and what struck me most was the convenience of changing platforms without needing stairs or lifts—accessing all platforms from a central location without hassle is fantastic. The waiting areas provided comfortable seating, ensuring a good space to relax while awaiting trains. One area for improvement would be the security checks for baggage; I couldn’t find any scanning machines for bags, which is something that should be addressed. Overall, it’s a magnificent station with a few areas that could use attention.
