Eureka Tower: Iconic Skyscraper in Melbourne

Overview

Eureka Tower is a stunning skyscraper located in the vibrant city of Melbourne, known for its impressive height of 297.3 meters. This remarkable structure draws its name from the infamous Eureka Stockade rebellion during Victoria's gold rush in 1854, symbolizing the spirit of those times through its vibrant exterior colors. The building boasts 556 residences and features an impressive 52,000 square meters of window space, along with efficient lifts and a multitude of stairs. However, the main attraction lies in its observation platform, Skydeck 88, which claims to be the highest viewing deck in the Southern Hemisphere. Experience breathtaking, unobstructed 360-degree views of Melbourne and beyond from the Skydeck, enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can explore interactive displays, spotting useful landmarks through view finders, and enjoy an immersive audio-visual experience that brings the city to life. For the adventurous, the Terrace provides an open-air feel with only a mesh fence separating you from the spectacular skyline. Daring visitors can also step onto The Edge, a glass cube that protrudes three meters from the building's exterior, suspended high above the city. With its unique architectural design and thrilling attractions, Eureka Tower is a must-visit destination for both tourists and locals alike.

Located at 7 Riverside Quay, Southbank, Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺. A fantastic spot for panoramic views of Melbourne City. I've been three times, both at night and during the day, and the views are always amazing. The binoculars let you see even further than normal vision. There’s also a cafe where you can grab a drink and a bite to eat while enjoying the view. I recommend booking online for a 15% discount: Adults $39.60, Concession $31.90, Children (4-16 years) $26.40, Family (1 Adult, 2 Children) $75.90, Family (2 Adults, 1 Child) $86.90, Family (2 Adults, 2 Children) $108.90, and infants (0-3 years) for free. I tried the Edge experience but wasn't sure it was worth the extra cost. There's an outside area, and the elevator ride is very quick. Overall, definitely worth a visit to the skydeck. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

A beautiful place to enjoy a 360-degree view of Melbourne, especially during sunset! Being 88 floors high made my legs feel jelly at times! It was quite busy during sunset, so I recommend arriving early to secure a good spot. Buying tickets in advance is also advisable to make the queuing process faster.

Visited with a standard ticket. The views are good, although I went on a cloudy day. The binoculars are a great help, and the fixed viewing points were useful too. It wasn't too crowded during my visit on a Sunday evening. I wouldn't recommend the edge though, as it doesn't provide 360-degree views.

An incredible view over Melbourne on a clear day! Taking the elevator to the 88th floor provides stunning views all around. You can step outside for some fresh air and a different perspective. There are additional experiences available too.

It was a memorable experience. Even with tickets, it can get crowded, especially during peak hours like sunset. It's worth it for a magnificent view of Melbourne at night, though it can be pricey for just 30 minutes. Better to purchase tickets in advance. There's also a souvenir shop, and a mini bar for drinks. All necessary facilities (such as toilets) are available, and they offer various packages (check their website).
