Another great day in the most livable city in the world. As a local exploring #FederationSquare, I visited the #acmilens exhibition. It’s extensive, so give yourself at least an hour or two to explore. Make sure to grab your free ACMI Lens as you enter; it’s a reusable device for collecting artworks and objects throughout the museum. You can take it home to enjoy stories behind the art later. There are many interactive displays that are fun for all ages. Revisiting historical television and movies like #picnicathangingrock and #madmax was a blast, especially with insights from filmmakers like #gillianarmstrong and #janchapman. Highly recommend visiting to discover and appreciate our history through “the lens”.

Excellent museum! We paid for the futuristic movies exhibition, which was incredible. The free exhibitions were also very well curated, interesting, and full of history. I especially loved the film and photography sections, including a tribute to the movie "memoirs of a snail" set in Australia. Totally worth a visit!

I loved this exhibit! It’s bright and colorful, and it makes you think about the connection between our imagination and the future. The exhibit showcases various mediums, and the creative space is a wonderful addition. If you find yourself in Melbourne, this is a must-visit. Plus, ACMI has its usual free exhibit open.

ACMI is awesome! The exhibits are super fun and interactive, covering movies, TV, and gaming with a great mix of old and new. A perfect spot for anyone interested in screen culture. Definitely worth a visit, with both free and paid exhibitions!
