Visiting the Slat Al Azama Synagogue in Marrakesh is an inspiring experience that shouldn’t be overlooked. Established in 1942 in the historic Mellah district, it features traditional Moroccan synagogue architecture with a central courtyard. Recent renovations include a women’s gallery and a beautiful marble arch. A must-visit for anyone interested in history and culture!

A stunning representation of how the Synagogue 🕍 blends the style and essence of the city! It felt simple yet serene, and I loved the courtyard! The history of the Jewish community in Morocco is captivating and truly unique. You can sense the tranquility.

A definite must-see in Marrakech. The Jewish community in Morocco, especially in Marrakech, boasts a rich and ancient history. The synagogue welcomes visitors on weekdays (not during Shabbat) and has a nominal entry fee of 10 MAD for access to its exquisite space. Besides the remarkable sanctuary, the site also features an intriguing museum dedicated to the Jews of Morocco and Marrakech. A relaxing escape from the bustling Mellah streets, it’s crucial for understanding a community that has significantly diminished, with now about 200 Jews remaining in Marrakech.

A very pleasant and cozy place for only 10 MAD. There are various rooms filled with videos, pictures, and music. Nice hall and courtyard with a fountain. Wi-Fi and toilets available. A Jewish site at the heart of Islamic Morocco. Highly recommended for a peaceful respite in the shade of this serene locale!

Definitely worth a brief visit if you're in the area. The 10 MAD entry fee is quite reasonable.
