This is undoubtedly the finest museum I've ever visited. The sheer volume of historical artifacts is astonishing, with countless intriguing exhibits. It's quite expansive, making it easy to engage for half a day. The dinosaur skeletons are a highlight, and the crystal exhibit is equally captivating. It’s an ideal spot for a romantic outing, an educational trip, or a family day.
Our Sunday at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles was incredibly enjoyable! The moment we entered, the gigantic dinosaur skeletons caught our attention immediately. My child was in awe, pointing at the T. rex with delight. The Gem and Mineral Hall was like discovering a treasure trove—shimmering crystals, unique gems, and even meteorites left us in amazement. The Butterfly Pavilion was enchanting, with butterflies landing close by, creating a surreal experience. The Discovery Center was a hit with the kids, who had the chance to explore fossils and see live insects—both fascinating and a little gross! To unwind, we relaxed in the Nature Gardens, appreciating the fresh air and observing the bees and hummingbirds. Our stroll through the mammal exhibits felt like a mini-safari. It was a perfectly balanced day of fun, learning, and quality family time. A Sunday well spent indeed!
As both a guest and an event organizer at NHMLA, I have a deep appreciation for this venue! I was especially excited to introduce it to my son for his first visit. The blend between traditional and modern areas is flawless, and the exhibits are remarkable. We particularly enjoyed the Nature Lab and plan to return soon!
Easily the best historical museum I've encountered anywhere in the world. Its vastness is impressive, detailing California's extensive history through prehistoric, Indigenous, Spanish, and American eras, along with many exhibits on animals and prehistoric life. As a history enthusiast, I felt like I was in paradise! It made for a perfect Valentine’s Day.
I purchased tickets for Valentine’s weekend to explore LA with my partner. This museum has been, without a doubt, the best one I've experienced in the city so far. There’s a vast amount to see, with incredibly realistic visuals. The museum is spacious and clean, with plenty of exhibits to explore. A café is available on-site, and parking was fairly reasonable. Highly recommend visiting!
