This art museum in LA is interesting. I visited on Valentine’s Day weekend with my boyfriend. The artworks were impressive, but the staff made the experience uncomfortable by closely watching visitors. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

I wish I’d visited sooner! I was glad to go on a free admission day (the second Tuesday of the month). The modern and contemporary wing was impressive, especially the exhibit focusing on children and art in Germany. I’d recommend more than two hours to appreciate everything fully. The staff was courteous and it wasn't too crowded, which was a bonus!

I love visiting LACMA, not only during regular hours but also for special events like the recent after-hours night with a DJ, popcorn, and drinks. It was free to RSVP, and it allowed access to some parts of the exhibits. Overall, it was a fun experience!

There’s so much to see here. It’s a beautiful place, and I had a great time. The staff were friendly and it’s close to other fascinating museums. Tip: Visit on a Friday to enjoy the jazz night after your museum trip.

While the museum isn't large, it features a solid collection of both contemporary and classic works. It may feel less impressive compared to the Getty, but they have reciprocal admissions with various museums, making it worthwhile to check if you have memberships elsewhere.
