An absolutely wonderful experience. You get an incredible view of the Hollywood sign, and it is a beautiful spot to observe the sunset. The staff is very informative, answering all our queries. It’s a fantastic museum—be prepared to spend HOURS exploring and reading, all for $0. This is exceptional. I recommend parking at the bottom and taking the ¢50 DASH bus, although you might be able to find paid parking. 10/10 must visit.

My husband is really into astronomy, so he was eager to visit the Griffith Observatory when we were in LA. My daughter and I, however, weren't as enthusiastic and only went because we were persuaded to. We took the Metro and then walked to the top of the Observatory. It’s a delightful paved path with a playground nearby, so make sure to bring good walking shoes and water. There’s a fun little shortcut we took. At the top, I was entranced by the stunning views—you can see the Hollywood sign and much more. The Observatory has free admission, so it was incredibly busy. I suggest arriving early to avoid crowds, or later to enjoy the sunset. Once inside, there are many things to do and see. We watched a show and checked out the massive telescope. In the evenings from 7-10pm, you can observe various stars or planets for free! Though my husband wanted to stay, we didn’t get a chance to do that. There's also a café offering self-serve hot and cold food, drinks, and snacks at reasonable prices. In the end, I'm glad my husband insisted we visit this iconic landmark!

Fantastic place to spend a day! Entrance is free... Just beware, parking is $10 PER HOUR if you want to park near the observatory! It's free if you don’t mind walking a mile uphill! There are plenty of exhibits inside and it's definitely worthwhile to see a show in the planetarium. The views over downtown Los Angeles are breathtaking.

Incredible place to visit. From here, you can see LA and its surroundings from above and appreciate the vastness of the area. The Hollywood sign is just around the corner. There are many interesting paths to walk or jog.

I consider this a must-see. The observatory is essentially a decent space museum. The planetarium show is good, and you can use the telescope to see Jupiter, but it's nothing extraordinary. However, the views of the city and the Hollywood sign, especially at night, are truly impressive. The combination of these factors makes it a must-visit.
