We visited on a field trip with a group of 36 kids who finished seeing everything after just 30 minutes. They fully enjoyed the experience since there are plenty of interactive exhibits that are culturally relevant. This is a great experience for adults and an okay experience for kids.

You should try the Immersive room to experience historical sound innovations. The American hip-hop exhibition was awesome. I would love to visit the pop culture museum in Seattle again to learn more.

If you love music, the GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles is a must-see. Spanning four floors, it takes about an hour and a half to explore and offers a deep dive into music history. One of the coolest features is the interactive sound booth, where you can sing along, and another exhibit lets you experience how music technology has evolved over the years based on the song you choose. The museum is constantly updating its exhibits, with current highlights like How to Win a GRAMMY and a showcase on Luther Vandross. Located at L.A. LIVE, it’s easy to get to and offers a fun, immersive experience. While the exhibits are incredible, what really makes this place special is how interactive it is—it’s not just about looking at memorabilia, but truly engaging with music in a hands-on way. Our family had such a fun time here, and if you’re in LA, I’d highly recommend adding it to your list! Whether you’re a casual listener or a music aficionado, it’s a great way to experience the art and history behind some of the world’s most iconic sounds.
The museum has a lot of cool interactive displays and a theater area to watch the best performances. It was organized in a great way. However, the staff left a lot to be desired. They appeared dismissive and not overly helpful. They checked tickets, but there was really no explanation or instructions on how to navigate through the museum. I liked the various floors and exhibits, and everything is fairly self-explanatory (good thing as the staff are not going to help).

Came here as a chaperone for a RUSD middle school band class. We participated in a workshop that lasted about 1 hour. There are three different floors to explore apart from the ground floor where you enter and can shop. It was a group of 130 kids! There are enough interactive kiosks to entertain and educate while there. There was a small section dedicated to Latin Grammys. Absolutely recommend!
