The garden is truly beautiful, and at the end of the trail, you can find complimentary tea and water. While it's not fresh matcha, it's free, so let's not complain about that. Make sure to search carefully if you can’t locate it, as no sweets are included nor are they mentioned when purchasing tickets. The garden closes at 5:00 p.m., so to fully enjoy your visit, avoid buying tickets at 4:30 p.m. Please be considerate of fellow guests and staff, and refrain from yodeling at the mountain's summit as a tourist. The view from up high is a perfect 10 out of 10, with stunning scenery every 10 meters during the hike. While there may be cheaper or free gardens around, if the entry fee poses a burden, kindly refrain from complaining about it, as maintaining the garden costs money. I had a fantastic time here and was intrigued by some negative reviews — I hope this helps you make a well-informed decision. Wishing everyone a delightful visit, except for the thoughtless person yodeling on the mountain top. I visited in December, and it wasn't busy, but spring and autumn may see larger crowds. It seems illogical to criticize the number of tourists when you're one of them. Enjoy the garden! 🏡

Incredible traditional Japanese gardens that are well worth the entry price. Be sure to take a moment to enjoy a complimentary tea or cold drink at the tea house before you leave. This amazing space was established by a well-known actor from the past. The views are exceptional, and it’s an absolutely stunning visual delight.

Visiting the private garden inside Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is definitely worth the 1,000 JPY entry fee. I suggest taking your time and following the path to absorb the immense beauty of the garden. I spent considerable time resting and learning about its history while enjoying the fresh air. There’s a rest area at the end where you can enjoy complimentary hot beverages. Just before this area, restrooms and a museum can be found.

This garden is indeed worth the 1,000 yen ticket. It showcased the best fall colors during our trip to Kyoto. A beautiful garden belonging to a 60s actor, it provided a pleasant, easy hike.

This beautiful garden is perfect for escaping the crowds from the bamboo forest. Tickets are priced at 1,000 yen per adult, and it’s absolutely worth it. You can enjoy some complimentary tea or matcha at the tea house. Then, stroll along the paths to take in the beautiful views. It was a delightful experience that we hadn’t originally planned but turned out wonderfully!
