I thoroughly enjoyed the self-guided audio tour, which allows you to listen to information about any of the corresponding spots in any order you prefer, without the audio distractions from other visitors. Moreover, the cathedral's size ensures it doesn't feel overcrowded, allowing us to appreciate our journey through this sacred space. They encourage visitors to take a moment for silent reflection in the sanctuary, and I wholeheartedly recommend doing so. It was a touching experience that helped me connect with my thoughts and honor all those involved in the cathedral's long history. I'm very grateful for its presence and for all those who take care of it.

During my recent trip to Dublin, I visited this lovely cathedral after also visiting Christ Church as well. This cathedral features a beautifully tiled floor with areas of light and dark throughout its interior. The remembrance zone with English colors displayed was unexpected, considering the historical context between the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Exiting this somber area leads you back towards the bright side and tour point 6 (The Knights of Saint Patrick). Point 8 is the Chapel of the Lady and the high altar, which provides a peaceful spot for reflection. Point 9 is a stunning choir area where you can truly appreciate the cathedral's beauty (just look up!). You return down the south side towards the west window and the Boyle family monument, eventually arriving at the exit if you choose to skip the shop.
Today, my family and I visited the gardens at St. Patrick's Cathedral for a delightful community Halloween festival. We were thrilled to find that the event was free! The gardens were beautifully decorated, offering a plethora of activities. There were food trucks serving delicious dishes, and craft stands showcased handmade Halloween souvenirs. Children enjoyed face painting and dancing to the live music. The fire juggler was truly impressive! We had an absolutely fantastic time as a family. While more seating areas could have enhanced the experience, it was overall a wonderful event.
