What a beautiful place on the edge of the city. Free entry, two toilet blocks, lots of benches and seating around, I spent hours here! There are turtles, lizards and so many birds. Paths you can cycle or walk down, little walkways to explore and a slightly apocalyptic swamp full of wildlife.

This is a really lovely park on the edge of the city. It seems to be really popular at weekends. I can see why, there is so much wildlife about, its teeming with birds of different kinds. I spent a few hours walking around the park, including down to the beach, which unfortunately, though popular, is not well kept. The footpaths however are and its easy to walk around the whole park. It’s great to see a nature sanctuary like this that people can enjoy. Well worth a visit.

The park is more attractive to joggers than to people looking for spectacular views. Make sure you have mosquito repellent, wear long pants and long sleeves, or run faster than the mosquitoes can fly. They are cruel and plentiful. There are many closed gates by the concrete passage (the city side), which isn't wise but certainly may be dangerous in some situations. Don't say nobody told you.

It is mostly a broad gravel road through an area with shrubs. One is not allowed to get off the road. If one does, like many locals, the beach can be accessed. The beach consists of mainly eroded building parts speckled with quite some plastic. Just a few people are wading in the brackish water. On a Saturday, lots of people are walking, running, bicycling and just hanging around in some lawn resting spots. Birds are singing, some plants are flowering in spring time. Water is available at the entrances and the junction in the middle at the sea. There are also restrooms. The park closes at 18:00. If you expect a kind of US national park where you can explore nature freely, you may be disappointed. If you just want to get away from buildings and traffic, it is quite okay.

Beautiful natural area close to the city. Only wish it opened earlier because it gets hot by 10 am and much of the wildlife is less active after that. Well-maintained trails, beautiful new boardwalks, and great views of Puerto Madero. Oh, and don't go to the river expecting pristine beaches. Haha
