The cathedral is stunning and offers free entry. Pope Francis served as the Archbishop of Buenos Aires for 15 years and held masses here before moving to the Vatican in 2013.

This church features a beautiful Roman-style facade, which is quite distinct from many renowned churches globally.

The Cathedral of Buenos Aires is a must-see. It serves as the headquarters of the Catholic Church in Argentina and houses the Mausoleum of San Martin. Inside are four beautiful organs that are still playing. The striking mosaic floor that spans the church is particularly noteworthy, and I found the warm colors to be quite beautiful. Pope Francis was the archbishop here before he ascended to the papacy. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the ambiance.

Many cathedrals I've visited lack personality, but this one is full of it, complemented by fascinating chapels on either side of the main area. Coming from a Lutheran background, where plain white walls are preferred for a serene worship experience, I found this Catholic explosion of color and gold impressive! It's worth noting that the current pope was an archbishop here.
