What an amazing building and facility, from the architecture and design to the layout exhibits and facilities. World class and super clean toilets. We came for the Diva exhibition which was well worth the visit.

I thought this was going to exclusively a collection of old classical orchestral musical instruments. Whilst indeed this does constitute a substantial and presumably permanent part of the Museum; there are currently additional temporary exhibitions here beginning with a tribute to Gyorgy Ligeti, celebrating the Centenary of his birth. Another exhibition relates to Laszlo Lajtha, a memorial room is dedicated to him containing his personal furniture e.g. Writing Table, Bosendorfer Piano etc. With no specific interest in these musicians I enjoyed the wonderful collection of old classical orchestral instruments the most, particularly the wide range of pianos. Note, cash only entrance fee, 2000 huf and no pensioner discount.

An impressive collection of old, exquisitely-crafted classical musical instruments, well maintained and looked after. A fair share of details about the items in the museum, many belonging to consecrated Hungarian composers or musicians. Interesting to see some older or quirky pianos, as well as some original manuscripts of composers such as Liszt.

Very small museum for big Hungary. This is strange. 4-5 rooms with standard stuff - grand pianos, violins. One old classic harp. One boring room about big? Only one in Hungary? ethno scientist. One⭐️ for the exclusive SQUARE piano, last of XIX century, which you CAN PLAAAAAAY there for free!!!!!! Only cash!

The museum is really interesting, there are old instruments and you can listen to recordings of musicians playing it.
