The Hungarian Parliament Building serves as the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, making it a significant and iconic landmark in Budapest. Found in Kossuth Square on the Pest side of the city next to the Danube, it was constructed in 1904. With dimensions of 879 ft in length, 75 ft in width, and 315 ft in height, it stands as the largest building in the country, the tallest in Budapest, and ranks as the third largest parliament building globally. Inside, there are 691 rooms, 10 courtyards, and 29 staircases, with the Grand Stairway being the most magnificent, spacious, and intricately decorated. Since 2000, the Holy Crown of Hungary has been exhibited in the central hall. Due to limited daily bookings and group size, online reservations are highly advisable. A café is available at the lobby level, and the tour lasts a maximum of one hour. This structure is one of the most beautiful I have ever witnessed. You need to see it to believe it; it resembles more of a grand palace than a parliament. Don’t miss it!
The House of Parliament is truly magnificent! I believe it is one of the largest parliament buildings in the world, and the detailed architecture is absolutely breathtaking. It appears even more stunning at night with all the lights. Its convenient location near a tram stop makes it easily accessible via public transportation. This is definitely a must-visit when you are in Budapest! 😍🏛️
Located on the eastern banks of the Danube River, this architectural wonder is an iconic landmark of the city of Budapest, and it holds the title of the largest building in Hungary. This splendid example of neo-Gothic architecture is reportedly one of the most photographed attractions in Europe. We can agree with that, as the building is beautiful both up close and from a distance, particularly at night. We did not take the interior tour, so our review focuses on the outside of the building. The negative reviews we encountered about the limited scope and high price of the tour dissuaded us from going inside. It was unfortunate because we had heard that the interior is full of intricate details, ornate decorations, including a grand staircase and the impressive Dome Hall. The visit was made even more spectacular by the lovely November weather, sunny and warm with hardly a cloud in the sky.

We gathered wonderful impressions and thoroughly enjoyed our exploration. It's also worth mentioning that navigating the city with English is quite easy—communication was never an issue. While certain areas may feel tourist-heavy at times, the overall vibe remains friendly and inviting.<br>
