The Technik Museum in Berlin is a fantastic venue for enthusiasts of science, engineering, and history. With diverse exhibits ranging from aviation to railways and maritime history, it is a treasure trove of knowledge. The aircraft and locomotive sections stand out with their stunningly restored models.
The museum also features interactive displays that cater to both adults and children alike. Its well-organized layout and the friendliness of the staff help make the visit enjoyable. Dedicate several hours to fully grasp everything that it offers.
In summary, a captivating and inspiring experience that I highly recommend!
This is an absolute must-visit! Highly recommended. The train section alone surpasses many dedicated train museums I've visited. Plan to spend an entire day here. I was there in December, but I can't wait to return in the summer when the outdoor area is an added bonus.
This location is a must-see for anyone fascinated by history and technology! The nostalgic atmosphere is full of opportunities to explore—planes, ships, trains, and much more. One of the highlights is the exhibit on the evolution of computers, which is incredibly captivating to witness closely. The displays are well-curated, balancing hands-on experiences with historical depth.
The only drawback is the lack of access to passenger planes and trains for a more immersive experience. However, it’s still an outstanding place to explore, whether you’re a technology lover or a history buff. Absolutely worth a visit!
I highly recommend this museum. As others have mentioned, you can easily spend an entire day there. It offers a wide range of exhibits—from cars to boats, planes, trains, paper-making, radio, and television, among others. The train collection was the standout for me, being the largest and most fascinating. The car exhibition, however, was rather limited. I would suggest enhancing the English descriptions, as they are inconsistent throughout.
We spent a good half-day exploring the museum. It’s enormous, especially when you include the separate building with the automotive and internet exhibits.
Tickets cost €6.00, benefiting from a 50% discount with the Welcome Berlin Travel Pass.
The cafe is quite small, and you might have to queue; however, there are 'picnic' rooms available if you bring your own food.
