This is a small museum, yet it is filled with information. It has many interactive exhibits, making it an ideal spot for children to learn about life in East Berlin. It gets quite busy, so arriving early might be a wise choice.

An intriguing and immersive experience showcasing life in East Berlin during the Cold War. It offers insights into how surveillance and pseudo-communism were disguised as equal rights. The interactive exhibits are well-organized, presenting a clear picture of the daily lives and constraints faced by East Berliners. I found it educational and captivating, enhancing my appreciation for this historical period. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in the Cold War or German history!

I had a great time there. You can spend a lot of time inside; I recommend speeding up the history section if you're short on time because the DDR apartments at the end are unmissable!

While I'm not particularly keen on history, coming from Europe, it's impossible to ignore or deny the impact of WWII on Europe and the rest of the world. This museum offers a unique and interesting perspective behind the DDR façade, and even someone like me, who isn't too interested in history, can learn something without getting bored... 👍

This museum is quite nice and is located in a great spot. It is not very large and tends to be overcrowded; we visited on a Sunday when it was packed. There is a wealth of information available, and it's a museum where you can actively participate rather than just observe!
