A wonderful destination in Barcelona for sea life enthusiasts! The submarine exhibit at the entrance was particularly impressive. It's a great spot for families, with a delightful penguin viewing area. Conservation efforts and nature awareness were evident throughout the aquarium. However, I found the information display a bit challenging; it changed too quickly for me to follow in my language. The aquarium features numerous viewing windows showcasing diverse species. On a downside, the entrance photo was poorly executed, and for the price, I wouldn't recommend purchasing it unless you're sure you want one. The gift shop offers a nice selection of marine-themed items.
I was quite disappointed with the high entry fee of €27 for adults. The aquarium has several small tanks and only one large tank featuring some sharks. I visited with my partner, who enjoys photography, and we completed the tour in just about an hour. While the aquarium isn't bad, it felt too tiny for the cost; I would say it should be around €20 tops, ideally lower. If you're looking to fill 90 minutes and aren't on a strict budget, it’s worth a visit, but otherwise, I found it lacking compared to the zoo we visited the same day, which was much cheaper and better.
Amazing experience! The aquarium has brilliantly created a marine atmosphere using large screens. The massive tanks provide a spectacular underwater tunnel where you can see the sharks from below. Highly recommend visiting!
If you find yourself in Barcelona, definitely check out L’Aquàrium! It’s an exciting experience, especially for those fascinated by marine life. The highlight was walking through the underwater tunnel with the giant ocean tank, surrounded by sharks, rays, and various fish—it felt surreal! The design is well thought out, with sections covering different marine habitats. There are tropical fish, Mediterranean creatures, and even a kid-friendly area with hands-on activities. It’s educational yet fun, avoiding the monotony of just reading facts. The penguin exhibit was adorable, and feeding times are a must-see. It can get crowded on weekends, so arrive early to beat the rush. Don’t forget to check the gift shop for unique marine-themed souvenirs. Note that capturing photos at the entry requires a 12 euro fee.
A decent place with impressive main exhibits featuring sharks. However, I found it rather pricey for what you get. Without queues, you can explore all areas in about 1-1:30 hours. The regular ticket costs 27€, and a single photo they offer is priced at €12. 😁 It's a great spot for families with children and some areas designed specifically for them. I don’t think I would return on my next visit to Barcelona. 🫡
