A must-visit destination for anyone interested in ancient Greek culture. The unique architectural style, given the limited scientific knowledge of the era, is remarkable. The well-preserved structures are truly impressive. The museum is exceptionally organized, featuring numerous rooms that showcase artifacts, providing insight into the daily lives of ancient civilizations. The friendly and helpful staff contributed greatly to the overall experience.

This museum is fantastic - vast and filled with artifacts that are well presented and categorized, complete with interesting descriptions. After my trip focusing on the Persian wars, this was the perfect place to consolidate my knowledge about ancient Greece. However, I encountered an issue: it was challenging to get information from the staff, as I spoke to about 10 people before finding a guide who could assist me in locating the linear B tablets. I wish the rest of the staff were more trained in providing basic information about object locations and available interactive maps with keyword searches.

Not to be missed. The artwork is beautifully labeled and contextualized, bringing the past to life. Although it can get crowded, it's manageable enough to move around and see everything. Security staff were polite and respectful; one even kindly explained that holding my camera against the glass wasn't allowed. The cafe is lovely too, allowing you to enjoy coffee in front of stunning mosaics.

Visiting off-season in November makes for a quiet experience; there was no wait and fewer crowds, even on a Saturday! It allowed me to spend time examining the minute details, which are plentiful. You face a choice here: with such a large number of artifacts, you can either skim through most or delve deeply into a select few. I chose to devote half a day to the first floor, rushing through the equally large second floor to meet the 3:30 closing time. It's incredible how many pieces have survived - mostly thanks to their discovery in grave sites; nevertheless, this museum is a national treasure, and it would be even better if the British Museum returned those items they hold.

A must-visit in Athens! The museum features artifacts dating back to 16 BC. There are countless preserved sculptures, tools, and jewelry; many items were found in graves. The courtyard, which has a cafe, is stunning, and you can relax with a drink amidst the sculptures in the garden. Be prepared to spend some time here!
