This museum is similar to some in Madrid, where I am from, but I have noticed one big difference: while a boutique museum in Madrid typically costs around €3, this one charges a staggering €12, even with a student discount. My primary concern is that the museum lacks a clear identity or main theme, aside from showcasing beautifully decorated rooms. This makes the admission price feel excessive and unjustifiable. Nonetheless, the gardens are lovely, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

€15 for admission? That’s the entry fee to experience the life of a 17th-century banker residing on the Keizersgracht. You'll admire some exquisite architecture, thanks to Adriaen Dortsman, and view several artworks that won’t likely make you rush home to research the artist. It’s a brief, one-hour visit through a wealthy family's historic home. Is it worth the price? Let’s just say, at this rate, I hope Mr. Van Loon’s spirit thanks you as you exit!

The history of this museum, which once functioned as a private residence, is fascinating. Affluent individuals owned and influenced the design, furnishings, and overall atmosphere of the space. It is definitely worth exploring to gain insight into a piece of Amsterdam's historical narrative.

This lovely museum features a beautiful garden and terrace. Currently, there is an exhibition that connects the colonial past of the building with personal stories through art. It is incredibly engaging!

This place is more than just a museum; it is a home with stunning style. Beauty radiates from every corner: the interior, household items, portraits, and decor. Even the servants' costumes are exquisite. The atmosphere is magical – it's a bright house filled with wonderful energy. You feel glad to be here and reluctant to leave. It's likely that happy families lived here for a long time. I will definitely return.
