I didn’t feel there was a clear theme and chronological flow, although that was their attempt. The Jewish museums in the USA are more thorough, perhaps they should seek assistance from there. I liked the gift shop, which had a good collection. Maybe that’s influenced by my visit to the synagogue on the same day.

I truly enjoyed exploring this museum that traces the history of the Jews of Amsterdam. My daughter loved the section dedicated to kids, where she could dive into the culture; she participated in a baking workshop, tried different musical instruments, attempted to learn the Hebrew alphabet, and played fun games. There are also temporary exhibitions, a café, and a shop... plus, the entry ticket also grants access to the nearby Synagogue. All in all, a lovely place! 💯👌🏼✨️

This is one of my top museums in Amsterdam. It's highly interactive, and my favorite aspect is the video archive. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in history.

This was a nice museum to visit during our time in Amsterdam in June 2022. My child loved the interactive exhibits, and there was plenty of information about the long history of the community in Amsterdam. I would have included photos, but they feature my child.

The temporary exhibit about Dutch Jews’ autobiographical writings reflecting their experiences with Jewish identity is incredibly captivating. The ticket is valid for a month. I also picked up two past exhibit catalogs that are beautiful and otherwise hard to find. The staff is friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
